I wonder what wool is worth to plough in now with fertiliser prices being where they are?
Sweet fanny Adam’s is my guess t mate .
Still got 700 in the shed.Anyone got leftover fleeces as my wife is looking for several. We are in the Aberdeenshire area and can collect.
You might need a big shed..... The wool board charge to collect the darn stuff..!Anyone got leftover fleeces as my wife is looking for several. We are in the Aberdeenshire area and can collect.
Do you expect them to collect it free like ?You might need a big shed..... The wool board charge to collect the darn stuff..!
How early can you send a couple of sheets (I found a couple stuffed in the back of the sheep shed) to release the money from last years wool, I ask because I sent 60 sheets that weighed 5120kg and even at 30p/kg that's £1536, I could really do with that money come March.
I think they should.if they want it they should come get it.Do you expect them to collect it free like ?
Hope you find some. Please excuse the hilarity. Sometimes it helps ease pain!Anyone got leftover fleeces as my wife is looking for several. We are in the Aberdeenshire area and can collect.
They don’t want it they just just auction it on your behalf , the mart dosent pay haulage , same thing .I think they should.if they want it they should come get it.
On our behalf or on their behalf.... I suspect being on the board pays rather better than producing fleeceThey don’t want it they just just auction it on your behalf , the mart dosent pay haulage , same thing .
But surely they do want it ,no wool nothing to auction ,so no job for them. They don’t want it they just just auction it on your behalf , the mart dosent pay haulage , same thing .

DB wools will collect it free of charge….But surely they do want it ,no wool nothing to auction ,so no job for them.
Some marts do pay haulage.
Way I see it is I have to pay haulage on all the by products I buy be it straw, sawdust, bread ect...but when I've got a by product to sell I've still to pay the haulage.just seems its the usual farmer acting as everyone else's cash cow.
I suspect that will be depend on location .DB wools will collect it free of charge….
