Workshop heater off biomass boiler

Looking to run a single heater unit into an industrial unit for a tenant who uses as a workshop (mechanic). His unit is next door to the boiler so the pipe run is only about 15m but we are unsure of what kind of heater to install for him. All he wants during the winter months is a thermostat he can set at about 18 degrees then the heater kicks in and out as required. The space is 40ft x 40ft x 30ft to the apex as a single space with a roller door that is mostly closed unless he is moving vehicles out. The shed also has insulted wall and roof panels. We are thinking running it daytime only so it needs to get the space up to temp within an hour of him turning it on.

We have a similar setup in our workshops and units though the pipe is a bit further at about 50m.

We just have a 50kw heat exchanger in each with a portable thermostat and its been pretty good really. We usually have it set to 18degree at night or so and turn it on as necessary in the day. Not sure what make our HEs are but can have a look.

Have just converted 15,000 ft of 5 units all heated like this on biomass

I have used volcano heaters,,they come with 5 speed controller and we have wired them into a typical domestic heating controller and a stat. They get a 5000 ft building up to temp in 20 minutes.

Tenats love it as they can set the timer so when everyone rocks up for work at 8am the units are pre heated.

For best heat spread, 2 x 25 kW will always beat 1 x 50 kW. I to to fix them in opposite corners. Be sure to keep the pipe sizes sensible. Don't be a tight farmer and run tiny piles or you want get the output!

Other heater manufacturers are out there who are better quality but having bought so many I now deal direct and the price I can get them for now makes it daft looking else where. PM if you want a price, about to order another load for the next job so can tack these on.

Hello,
This is very simple, Firstly how many kw is the existing boiler,
for 40 ft x 40 ft x 30 ft, this is about 144 m2 so you need 44 KW total to heat the room @ 18 degrees
So you either need 1 x Proton eco 75 KW or 2 x E35 kw units combined with an rts10 thermostat and regulator.
Look at the biomass hut website for more details.
