The West should say to the Israelis if you start a war then you are on your own what ever the outcome, we know they won't so the Palestinians are in for more genocide, how anyone can defend these bloody thugs is beyond me.

US, Israel hold second virtual meeting on Rafah

Biden administration officials have denied offering to green-light an Israeli invasion of Rafah if Israel holds off on retaliating against Iran.

There is a devastating and growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza - Gazans need more aid, and they need it now: UK statement at the UN Security Council

Statement by Ambassador Barbara Woodward at the UN Security Council meeting on the Middle East.

It's more than that. They want Israel to kill as many as possible so the world can see how Israel really is and they don't want to import the problems to their own countries. Having Israel killing lots of their fellow Muslims draws attention away from their own failings. Being a Muslim/Arab is a bit like being a Christian /European there are as many differences as similarities. Ask the people of Boston how keen they are about the influx of white/ Christian but eastern European people.

Where exactly are you getting this stuff?

There is no fellow Muslim/fellow Arab about the situation. This seems a common theme on TFF. The Middle East is split along many more lines than that. We need to get away from this black and white thinking, it is nonsense. These countries have at times been at war with each other or otherwise disagreeing with each other or outright hostile toward each other in respect of some issues. It is no different to Europe or the USA in some respects- each country has it's own government/populace and interests to protect.

This is not an Israel vs the entire middle east issue nor will it be despite the earnest wishes of people who want it to be. Israel enjoys cordial diplomatic relations with many of the surrounding nations. Some of them do not enjoy good relations with others in the region, i.e. Turkey, Iran or Syria because of particular issues that are historical or on-going.

There is no rule book that says country X should accept any number of refugees/migrants or the like purely because they are Muslim/Arabic or any other incidental category.

There most certainly is a fellow Muslim/Arab thing about this because the one thing that unites Muslims no matter their sect or nationality is the treatment of the Palestinians by the Israelis. Say what you like as soon as the Israelis kick off it’s Jews v Muslims for a very big proportion of the world. I tell you where i get this stuff it’s from living amongst an awful lot of non vanilla folk who have a different take on the world.

Nip down to your local mosque and ask a few questions. I think they’ll be more likely to agree with me than you.
I'm sure most Muslims will be pro Palestinian anti Jew, especially those that don't live anywhere near them and have not suffered from their actions

Interestingly a close friend of ours is Jewish and his daughters are very angry with him over his support of Israel however no Muslims i know have anything but hatred for Israel.

The little red bit is Israel, the Green countries are all Muslim.
Israel including what the world refers to as the West Bank and Gaza is 10,240 sq miles. Muslim nations surrounding it with the same language, religion and culture is 5,392,668 sq miles.

This does not include Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Indonesia south Eastern Europe, turkey, etc. This would add another 3 million sq miles.

Why does tiny Israel need to divide half of what is left of Israel, about 4000 sq miles to a terror organization?

Lebanon, Syria and Jordan have secular governments. And if you follow your argument then the Uk should be divided up to give an Islamic state in Europe.

That’s illogical. Israel is the historic home of the Jews from thousands of years BC. The U.K. has no history as an Islamic state
Palestine is the historic home of the Cannonite people, who are the ancestors of the Palestinians. There have been Babylonians, Romans and Ottomans go through there. Like most other places it’s a hodge podge.
The majority of the Israeli settlers in the West Bank will be ashkenzic and it’s debatable that they were ever in Israel. Most likely Turkic people who thought being Jewish was a good idea.

Gods chosen people my ars

Israelites have been there since the Iron Age, the Canaanites as a distinct group disappeared from history a long time ago.

So someone descended from a Canaanite whose ancestors hoed turnips in Gaza when Jesus was walking about has no right to be a citizen of the state there, but someone who claims to be a descendant of Abraham via a 4000 year tour of Turkey, Eastern Europe and New York is a true citizen? This is your argument?

My argument is that Israel is an extremely small part of the Middle East, surrounded by millions of Muslims who want them destroyed. As such, they are fighting for their survival . If Hamas didn’t attack them there wouldn’t be a war, if Israel didn’t fight back there wouldn’t be an Israel.

That’s all fair enough but you can’t just make the current inhabitants citizinshipless as part of the process. You have to give them Israeli citizenship, and Israel has to become a secular government.
