Would you pay this??

Had a 20kw solar installation done August ? September 2015
No problems whatsoever at the time other than some paperwork never arrived.

Move on to December 2016
The wind was blowing form an odd direction one day and noticed 2 of the panels where lifting on adjacent corners.
Rang installers and the said oh we had better come and have a look.
Eventually turned up couple of weeks back, toddled up ladder, 10 minutes back in their van after telling me that a clip hadn`t been fitted correctly.

So Today got a bill for £250.
Straight on phone to ask what was going on and was informed that under the terms of the contract that were emailed to me at the time of installation there was only 12 month warrenty on the installation.
Well I know I didn`t receive that email, because I actually contacted them asking for the full terms .
I suggested that they look back through all the emails sent to me and show me the one that says 12month on the installation

I know its only £250 but I think they are taking the pee a bit

"Hadn't been fitted correctly " that's a workmanship item , and should be fixed foc irrespective of warranty ,


It was never right , your not there to check their work , they are the professionals and as such you expect a professional job ,
