So.....how did the Merlo end up upside down ? Wave action ?
I'm reliably informed that once a vehicle leaves the tarmac and sets wheel on a beach, the insurance is null and void. That incudes tractors rescuing stuck cars too.

Merlo electrics are a nightmare when they are dry! If that was a 1980s JCB you would get away with it.

Usually the sea digs them in so cars/ machines are at least axle deep in wet suctio sand! Have seen a few cars floating though abd one on it’s side. Best we had was a market traders van that they had gone out on jet ski. Came back to see top of the windscreen disappearing. The van was full of towels and bedding etc. As they were all soaking wet it was to heavy for recovery truck. They chucked most of the load out. I can tell you that a 4 in 1 full of wet towels and bed linnen was a very good tonne!!!!

Not the case if you're insured with the NFU.

NFU won’t cover you for ‘loss’ on a beach either unless you take out a specific policy with an eye watering premium, maybe they still cover cars but not ag machinery or plant under normal policies
