I think i would have stood further back in case the wire rope snapped when I used to do the hedge cutting I put a dual wheel on the left for added stability also it helps with keeping the top level

A wheel weight might have helped there, only guessing though as I've never so much as hitched a trimmer on.

Years ago when my brother was selling a grain bulker I mentioned it to a friend (Irish, family both sides of the sea) who was looking to take a trailer to Ireland for moving sand and gravel.

Whilst he liked the trailer and the price he said it would be no good because over there they would just fill it up and probably snap it in half!

That's exactly why Irish trailers are exported all over the world, if they can stick it here they will stick it anywhere.
