Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team

PLEASE DONT IGNORE THE ROAD CLOSED SIGNS:

The team are very busy helping stranded motorists including a group of four young males from West Midlands. They were 87 miles from home heading to Buxton to buy a phone!

Funny that the other three males onboard didn't have the same reason for being up there. I would suggest that PC SNOW played a significant part in detering crime today. It certainly allowed us to engage with them - and a cracking Intel submission.

A big thank you to the local farmers who turned out to help at an RTC to rescue the livestock and also tow some HGVs to safety.

It's a huge team effort in challenging conditions.

This evening we have patrols on duty to assist with those that may use the cover of bad weather to commit crime or ASB. If you don't have to be up there, stay away!

Thanks all and stay safe,

Sgt Simpson
