or pen him with 2 cows that are a bulling, as they ride round he might work out his role in life
He's out grazing but shows no interest when one is on season , he's not even messing with themDoes he run with cows or are you penning him up with individual cows? If he's running with cows I'd put money on him working when you don't see him. I had the same with a bull a few years back and had lots of calves 9 months after we got him.
Tell the breeder, he may be happy to replace him, 16months does sound young to be big enough for cows though.
Pushed hard then worked? Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Arnt bulls best left to grow out naturally?We work out about that age or younger but they have to be pushed hard and they get very tired very quickly. Too risky for us to keep them any older due to temperament
