It’s become so difficult and risky and such a pain that it’s hardly worth the bother TBH. That’s on a personal level. Nationally if this sort of crap keeps coming then I fear for home production of combinables.
Will it change when El Niño finishes? If it doesn’t we might as well pack up cereal growing here and go livestock and grass like the West.

14mm overnight, undone any good from the last couple of drying days,very mild this morning. 6 calves so far, running out of room now, I normally turn out as they calve.
