16mm. over the last 48hrs. Nature is starting to balance things up as it always does. Ground a bit wet to lift beet or autumn spray but it will come right again.

Yup it always balances out, the longer we can go with little rainfall the more chance we have of getting to Spring without being flooded out

Been a lovely clear, dry day. Car thermometer read 17°C this afternoon - in a carpark, so that'd be about 14-15°C more accurately.

It feels as though much of the last week's heavy showers, rainfall, drizzle and damp has been absorbed. Fields nowhere near as muddy as they could be. The top Spring still isn't running, though.

Heavy mizzle since fairly early last evening, making it wetter than if we'd had a proper rainfall. It's wet right in the sheds:(
It's only just gone two o'clock, and what little light there was is starting to fade already.
Days like this make me want to return to working in the southern hemisphere for the winter, like I used to in my 20s.
