Having got to bale 26 acres today , it started off dull and cloudy , then at 9 it rained enough to wet the yard ,but was gone 45 minutes later !!
Not been that sunny but a drying enough sort of day . 265 bales later bales moved and stacked wrapped , its a dry night ,albeit a very light shower at 8.30

Dull and overcast with a fair breeze, also feels quite close. As a side note due to the prolonged dry spell in this region (12 months now) our lawn is starting to show the effects of drought.

Left Sleaford at 1.00pm, shirt sleeves and air-con on, to go to Colwick Haall, Nottingham for afternoon tea (red letter day gift). Got to Bottesford, lashing rain and heater back on. Rained all the time there and drizzled all the way home. Got home, nothing!!

For us here in the shadow of the Welsh hills , it reminds me of a more typical year ,in that the jet stream is over Ireland /Scotland ,and anywhere below Liverpool south is drier and northerly much wetter ?

Dry here. It's looking like some rain on Friday. To tell the truth, id like an inch of rain to keep it going until harvest. But that will do. If is very, very dry.
