Like a babies nappy here ....wet and warm !
39mm so far, totally knackered now, got up to see a swimming pool outside my window on grade 1 land. looking like fallow and the shortest harvest ever next year
we certainly got more in, got half of the farm in, the other half was fallow, this year we have osr in and nothing else. the only plus from this year is that the harvest was ruined as well as the back endI think even 2012 was better than fhis
Same here, and the rest... it's so bl**dy wet that even my VAT is up to date...55mm in the last 24hrs, still going.
Seeing floods from the window even on our lighter land . Completely buggered it now .
A lot of maize still to harvest locally
Over thirty years ago I had a summer job in Keld, right by the Swale; the way the river could rise, even after a summer rain was frightening, saw it again later when I was based in Catterick. The volume of water in it now, with already waterlogged ground, must be enormous. Has York not got better flood defences now?Just been to ripon, both the Swale and the Ure are starting to run hard, there might a few damp feet in York.
