What happened to the high pressure and the spell of settled weather? Oh yes possibly building next week, same as ever. The forecast is so wrong it’s not worth taking any notice at all of it.

Been waiting to spray some wheat and was hoping not to leave too big wheelings but it’s either frost or bloody raining

Trying to get autumn herbicides on has been the bane of my life for many a year. Which is why I would rather go all spring cropping. But we try winter wheat one more time. I’m hoping I can leave it till spring before I spray it. Best place for the sprayer in December is in the shed. I do wonder about all this high input autumn sown cropping. Life would be so much easier without it.

Rain. Really don’t want it just now on my fresh drilling. 4 days ago they were forecasting this as a dry spell. High pressure building etc.
I think that’s it now for fieldwork here until the spring. All the beet is up and away, half the wheat area drilled. Not brilliant but better than it was last year. We didn’t start drilling till mid January and the last of the beet was harvested in a March after a long drawn out battle.
