Warm, dry but clearing for another frost overnight.
It's worse than last year as low temps have held back growth while the moisture disappears, whereas last year we had earlier growth to use the moisture before it got really dry.
Last year my spring barley emerged reasonably well and moved fast. This year it emerged but seems to have stopped and is flattened to the ground probably by frost.
My beet is a very dark green colour, a bit knarled and burnt and stuck at cotyledon. Been drilled a month now. Probably be up to my balls in bolters come July.
We aren't going to make much this year.
