Looks like it could drizzle but not quite. It always seems to take a long time to dampen the atmosphere sufficiently for it to rain after a long dry spell. The west of the country seems to soak up incoming rain bands like blotting paper so it fizzles out before it gets to east. The met office never seem to realise this. They just set the forecast to rain for bank holiday Monday then go off home early on the Wednesday before, only updating it a week later.

suggested we backed the tractor upto the mower this morning to take a couple of headlands off,.Done the trick just had a a small but welcome shower, these weather gods are over thinking the job, ho ho .Will go pick some wrap up tommorrow that ll surely help especially if I pay for it upfront on a no return basis

Ended up with about 11mm yesterday and was surprised that it was still overcast this morning and everything damp . Not brightened up today so things still damp however concrete/ road is dry now but only last hour or so .
Fields look fresher already.
Hope you get some rain soon .

Must be the Welsh holding onto it then, cos it has disappeared by the time it has hit Shropshire...!
