we all, me included, moan about the fecking continuous rain.

but its not new, can remember trying to burn hay in the swathe when it wouldn't dry, because it rained every day.

wasn't that many years ago, housed the dairy in june/july because the ground was so sodden. Trying to cut corn into oct etc.

this is just nature averaging out, after a run of relatively benign years.

Have you kept any records for rainfall for the year? Or any weather stations very close by?
Yes there are 3 wunderground stations none make pretty reading. What they do say is we have had 4 dry weeks since mind June. Running at about 156% of average annual rainfall.

now got water running down the central passage of a cattle shed as it’s been blown by 60mph wind.

Quite a pleasant morning breezy and drying. Without the 10cm of snow early Dec as couldn’t measure it we have had 115mm this month. Most of it came in the second week of Dec. Just 35mm this week
