YouTube on iPad, can anyone help please ?

When I click on the YouTube app, the home screen usually shows a dozen or so recommended videos, but now it only wants to show one over the full screen.
Pretty sure I’ve not changed any settings, as I usually leave that to the younger generation, being not very tech savvy with this stuff.
Is this how youtube are doing it now, or what can I do to get back to how it was before ?

No, that is not the way YouTube are doing it now. To prove it, enter YouTube on your browser and log-in using your user name and password, making sure it remembers them. Set the home page as one of your favourites. You now have the same browser experience as you would on a laptop or desktop computer.

If using your app, you should have a scrollable lot of suggestions from your subscriptions list in the middle of the screen and a control bar across the bottom with Home, Explore, Subscriptions, Notifications and Library buttons.

If the app is scrambled, as is likely, delete it and re-download it. Mine froze once or twice earlier this year and this never failed to get it working properly again.
