Well the turbo replacement isnt even nessesary but a lot of dealers are not getting the info they need to sort it by the sounds of it.. and the more the engine works on light throttle the more they seem to have the issue.
we replaced our 6930 auto power in the spring with a 6150R autopower.
Very disappointed now the new tractor has done a few hours (about 400)
The new tractor is giving 140/160 hp at pto on dyno test, the 6930 must have been a good one!
Have others been similarly disappointed, and what solution have you found.
This ones had all the mods and buy no means runs on tickover as it spends most of its time pumping slurry still gets threW turbos ever 600 hours thoWell the turbo replacement isnt even nessesary but a lot of dealers are not getting the info they need to sort it by the sounds of it.. and the more the engine works on light throttle the more they seem to have the issue.
Yea I throws a code not sure what exactly tho I don't drive it a lot so has only done it once on me like, have you had any problems with them in NZ?Does it throw a code??... ECU 00641.07??
We had a leaky coolant pipe to the turbo actuator, the Deere solution is just to remove the pipes and block them off. They say its not required now.
Really? That is not the official solution !!!!
The vane set need changing in the turbo exhaust housing. Theres a new set available that are better in material on one linkage. These arent a deere made turbo btw. But that will fix the issue.
The thing with a new turbo is who knows how long the turbo has been sitting there... So it might be old stock with the old vane set. For us its not worth the risk and downtime. So we will fit the new vanes and that will sort it. Hope this helps out.. Dealerships can find the info if they look now.
