What rules do you think will go?

A start would have to be made with the HRA, then remove the precedence of Factor Tame and Van Gend en Loos, this will allow something like the Law Commission to start reviewing EU derived law and evaluate its utility.

As for specifics, it's near endless(!), and expert input would be needed from every part of every industry in the country to point out what was least helpful / relevant to them. Ag' specific stuff has been gone through on here so many times... but - again - it isn't all about farming, it's the country as a whole and what is best for it.

13 reasons and all of them are a load of rubbish and half truths!

Come on where is the 20 real reasons why we should stay in the EU??
Why has there got to be 20 reasons, and what makes you such an expert that everything I quote is a half truth, and yet your cock and bull theories are supposed to be the truth.
I'm beginning to see why guy smith got so exasperated by your way of debating, as you just bang on with repetitive comments, non of them backed up by any facts.
I don't want to fall out with you or anyone over this, and your minds made up anyway, so I think we will leave it there.

stall and tether laws 15 years before anybody else fact
WFD holland is covered by it but seem to dredge their rivers very well
So by you saying something is a fact, without any independent papers to back it up, it makes it true? It really is a simple request, show us the amount of extra rules we implement against say those in poland, because i keep hearing this myth, yet no actual factual evidence of it.

Clearly we're wasting our time here though, aren't we, :banghead:

Well we wont leave until 2019 anyway, the cap is being reformed in 2020, but by then the payment per acre will have dropped to around £30 acre anyway ( rest will be pushed into stewardship schemes ) so it will hardly be worth claiming anyway!
I think you may be wrong. Everyones money will flowing into Turkey. By then even the Romanians and Bulgarians will have had enough and will want out.

Naa, - 69 million turks will be heading for europe, probably carrying syrians and afghans with them in the boot. That's why the EU wants us "in", funding the resettlement programme, and then covering the greek liquidation, the second french revolution and the italian mafia. Hell, life is going to get exciting! Guess they will all want to eat a healthy mediteranean diet - I've just got my first olive tree up to 3 feet 6".

The problem with a lot of those 12 reasons are they are half truths or worse.

1 & 2) There are no trade tariffs in Europe anywhere other than in the Dictatorship of Belarus - regardless of whether you are in the EU or not. So there are no jobs or trade issues.

EU Regulations waste UK time... as we all know we fill in paperwork no one sees nor gives flying F about... yet it has to be done just in case.. and we all know we do the physical work anyway and have done for decades...

EU exported UK Ford manufacturing using an EU loan to move it to Poland... not what I would call job security... nor their impending financial tax.

3) The UK traded with a multitude of countries before the EU - the EU doesn't have ANY trade relationship with ANY of the major trading powers - India, China, USA.

4) Mobile phone roaming charges... meh really ? ... this only JUST came in but they still allow anyone's phone that stolen to have £1,000.00s of bills they have to pay...

5) Envrionment.. gold plated by Labour... flooding a town near you thanks to "Reconnecting Rivers with the Flood Plain".. an EU policy.

6) Mulitnationals... yeah right what a load of utter rubbish... Luxemburg is used by ALL the multinationals to both dodge tax AND dodge consumer law - created by the EU, next door to the EU and used by most Belgians to dodge tax... that comment is quite frankly disgusting.

The guy that created the Luxemburg deal then became EU president.. pull the other one.

7) Free to work & Study. Nope... if you go to another country you have to PAY for everything including healthcare.

8) Peace and Democracy. Well there is no democracy in the EU, my vote means nothing as there are 27 other countries views that override anything we as a country may want.
The EU funded civil unrest in the Ukraine, leading to civil war, confrontation with Russia and a ban on AGRICULTURAL EU goods leading to £Billions lost by EU farmers.
Cosovo and Bosnia debarkle.

9) Equality... already have this...

10) The UK is the 5th largest economy in the world, the commonwealth dwarfs the EU in size and placement. Nuclear weapons put us at the Security council at the UN. Most EU countries don't compare. The UK has the largest army in the EU.

11) Cutting red tape... LOL.

12) The European arrest warrant is a joke. The UK won't even export criminals if it feels their human rights are a risk... there are £millions of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS in the UK yet 5,000 are sent back per year...

13) Research funding... given the UK pays in more money than it takes out other countries science is being funded at the UK's expense.

13) UK is not the only net contributor to EU, France pays more, and Germany pays in more than France.
7) AFAIK health care is free throughout EU, due to reciprocal arrangements with UK.
