Ever the optimist here!

Where does that put RFC compared to ARLA?

I just remember that the last line of the letter last month signalled there would be some rise again.......... or was that the month before?

Think it was December's milk price letter they said that. But yes I'm hoping for €2 cents for February and March.
If we don't get the rise I think a lot more will leave arla especially in our area.

If my maths is correct (Quite possibly not) our current 26.3ppl is delivered through a smoothed currency exchange of 0.768, but the spot exchange is 0.86.

Which makes 26.3ppl equal to 29.5ppl.

All this will come though the currency smoothing over the next 2 years.
Dont count your chickens. 2 years is a long time and a LOT will change in that time

Yeah you could say that, but it's tends to be about 5/6months price trend infront of others so Apr/may/June everyone's should drop in my opinion.dont no till the statement comes what %powder was last month via %spot but with spot mid 20s at the moment guessing probably same drop for Jan aswel? We'll see

What ever the currency does in the future you will be no worse or better off than if you were paid 29.5p today , that's the point of the smoother , it does not alter how much money you get it just reduces the volatility , which everyone says they want until they are on the wrong side of it

So if the euro stays where it is for 2 years, how to they pay the 2ppl from last summer then 1.75 Autumn, 1.5 winter etc. I'd take the 29.5ppl for the next 2 years like everyone else with a calculator.
As a side note I don't think the euro will stay where it is anyway
