It is true that I have posted that several times, but people do not want to believe it, even saying that was not the case at the time of the first referendum. All they have to do to find out is read the founding Treaty and some of the subsequent ones.
I think the EU will continue, because there are sufficient people who want it to work.
Only trouble is there enough people willing to pay to make it work

I think it will continue, but it has to do some serious looking in the mirror and start getting to grips with things like migration or the far right will ultimately fragment it.
I Don't think they are capable of change quickly enough

The Countries with the euro, will the voters have the courage to change ?
I don't think we would have had 52% Brexit if we had the Euro.
So We are in Iceland ATM
They defaulted as we know in 2008.
Stuff is 3X the cost of the UK now.
Which is ok for those of working age,
The population is increasing, tourism is increasing savings destroyed. But life goes on.
Going to be an interesting year that's the only certainty.

Sounds interesting holiday or work? I guess the cost of imports it due to the Krona halving in value with other major currencies after the default. Is there a local tax on goods as well?

Iceland , like Norway has massive tarrifs on food to protect their domestic industries, so it's always going to be dearer

Yes. The various Treaties have numerous examples of time frames by which certain events will occur. Others do not have such a timescale therefore they are an eventual aim. For example Article 42.2 od the Treaty of Lisbon:-
2. The common security and defence policy shall include the progressive framing of a common Union defence policy. This will lead to a common defence, when the European Council, acting unanimously, so decides.

Norway stuff about 2.5 x what it is in U.K.
Iceland stuff about 3 x what it is in U.K.
Although I am anti the Euro as countries lose the power over their own money.
I can see. There are many advantages to the euro as well.
