Less cleaning of equipment required(?) I spoke to someone who only cleaned their feeders at the end of the season.

As far as I'm aware you need colostrum to get it started, and never use more than half of the tank in one day, and keep it topped up every dayI dunno, ask it?
Never done it, tempted to keep nacknthe next few weeks worth of milk from the emptys, but afraid il bugger it up, and waste 10k worth of milk.
Don't think you do. Pot of natural yoghurt in and ibc, then fill. For 2nd ibc scoop out some of the 1st one to start the process again. As far as I'm aware you need colostrum to get it started, and never use more than half of the tank in one day, and keep it topped up every day

Much better off using a ketone bolus good prevention and removes the risk of human error. What's everyone paying for glycol? Very aware of a few fatties this year and seen as we've got vet students here I'm thinking of reviva for say 3rd calvers onwards or anything that has a rough time and then extra glycol? Or should the reviva be enough unless they have signs of ketosis
Do you not give reviva to everything ? its a bit like when your on the sofa feeling like shite, you cant be arsed to make yourself a drink but youll happily drink it if someone makes it and delivers it to you. we pay pay just over 500 a ton for GLW feeds lift off which is a liquid energy, feed at 750cc/day for 1st 100 days through the robots, we have used kexxtones in the past but got so peed off with them blocking the tanker up after the empties were regurgitated and ended up in the towerWhat's everyone paying for glycol? My Kefir (basically yoghurt) went ballistic last night, and I ended up with 20l of thick yoghurt. I've split it into 40l and will be prepping two blue barrels, one for AM and one for PM feeding.
Of course this requires the parlour to be finished...
