Much better off using a ketone bolus good prevention and removes the risk of human error.

I've used 5 this year so far on twin bearing cows. Certainly gives them a good long boost and i'd definatley say they paid for themselves but too dear to chuck about willy nilly.

I've used them on twins and think they're good. Cows seem to get back in calf quickly with no issues.

Do you not give reviva to everything ? its a bit like when your on the sofa feeling like shite, you cant be arsed to make yourself a drink but youll happily drink it if someone makes it and delivers it to you. we pay pay just over 500 a ton for GLW feeds lift off which is a liquid energy, feed at 750cc/day for 1st 100 days through the robots, we have used kexxtones in the past but got so peed off with them blocking the tanker up after the empties were regurgitated and ended up in the tower

Yes and no. Until lately with just beef calves we worked on if they calve in the field they're fine. If they need to come in it's normally a vet job and they need all the help they can get. This year we've got a lot more calving in a much tighter block which is brilliant but needs some forthought

Batch feeders and a flying herd weren't the best idea we ever came up with. Makes it very hard when you have loads of different animal types. Edit and we had poorer fertility longer block etc etc

No pic but feck I near got stuck in the dx tank tonight,what an awkward height the lid is

Had a leak on the paddle while washing,thought the jets in the paddle were blocked,they weren't! Getting straight after a hot wash wasn't a good idea,it was like a sauna.

How durable are those plastic piece that the teat buckets hang on? I've never fitted them as I thought they would snap with aggressive feeding

Dont know about the ones on the hutches, only had them since april.
The ones in the calf house are made of metal, had them for 16 years without problem.

Don't you train all the fattys to come in same row so as not to feed them?
