Thanks everyone, its helped to get it out, I still feel daft for allowing such a person to affect me so much but I am starting to see it was the right decision, I can see he was the polar opposite of me and no way would I want to be that sort of person.
Need to sort myself out though, its gone on for long enough now. Thank you again
You are the better person ,fancy walking around with all that anger inside of you ,you will get better ,the other chap will always be a ass

I only revived that from a page or two back, someone else deserves the credit for finding it. I'm a great believer in counsellors and think I prefer the idea to taking drugs. The GP has a range of options I believe imcluding both medication and referral to counsellors etc, allowing them to work with you to best deal with your individual situation

I can't help but think that for the gp's, medication is much cheaper and more readily available so by far their prefered method?

Can’t kick this flu and also not sleeping due to constant worrying about stupid stuff I can’t do anything about and the long list of things I need to do which is getting longer. Off to the docs again today as soon can’t carry on with no sleep, had insomnia most of my life but it gets worse when I’m stressed, would have willingly paid someone to knock me out last night

What can be a really bad habit to get into, if sleep is a problem - you are so tired in the evening watching telly you fall asleep for a couple of hours, wake, then go to bed but can't sleep because you've just woken up and lie awake in bed most of the night!

Tried to post this yesterday but deleted it. I've been feeling very low these past few months, it's definitely getting worse, I wouldn't say depression, more anxiety with all the bells & whistles which is causing me to feel despondent. I cant seem to shake it off and have a good day.
I had an experience at the weekend that's knocked the stuffing out of me, I had a bad experience with a road raging driver, I've never come across an individual such as this, around mid to late 20s in a brand new merc and incredibly threatening from the off, just looked and acted like a thug. He'd driven at me whilst overtaking parked cars as I was on my side passing them. Got out of his car tried to get into mine, the whole nine yards, and his dolly bird joined in too, other traffic built up behind us both and to be honest as the car behind me backed up I did too out of embarrassment, I didn't want to cause anyone trouble so I gave in, I've felt terrible since, I know its a trivial thing but on top of everything else its just pounded any self esteem I had into the ground. I've always hated bullies having been bullied when younger, this has just taken me right back there. I wish I could have got out of the car with confidence and talked with him, knowing I could handle any assault, but I have no confidence, this probably showed.
Sorry I know this isn't a big thing, and I know a lot of you guys on here have more serious stuff to worry about than my dented pride but it somehow feels bigger than that to me on top of how I was feeling already.

I am so sorry you have to experience this tbh. So much scum in the world who couldn't care less about others. Did you get his numberplate? May be an idea to report it to the police, people like that deserve to be locked up to teach em some manners... You were quite right in posting this, I'm glad you have gotten it off your chest. Keep posting. We are all here for you x if you wanna talk about anything you're welcome to PM me anytime :)

Thanks for your kind words, much appreciated.
I've got a lot to be thankful for, which makes feeling like this even more frustrating.
I'll get there, just needed to vent a bit. And yes, that 'How Anxiety feels' quote is absolutely scarily accurate.
I'm going to try a change of lifestyle before going to GP as I suspect that's got a lot to do with it, since selling my stock and renting the place I've kind of lost a big chunk of 'me', sense of purpose being one thing..
So, change of diet, more exercise and find another passion, cant be that difficult can it? :nailbiting:

It is highly difficult to adjust sometimes. But it can also be good to put other things into our lives to fill up that void. Things like losing animals or selling animals does that to you, I've been in a similar place tbh, it throws you off you feel lost as if you're wandering around without knowing what's wrong. Like jet lag, your bodies trying to catch up. It's highly confusing, give yourself some time :) then start focusing on other things to fill that space. Gardening is good, maybe a few chickens also... I find that really rewarding if I'm feeling lost or such. I hope you feel better soon!

It might help to have a warm drink or warm bath before bed, maybe a few drops of lavender on the pillow also, essential oils massaged into the temples :) I'm sorry to hear you're not sleeping well tbh, the flu won't help that either :( for the constant worrying it may be an idea to take a list approach to it. Urgent and not so urgent. Things you can do now and stuff that can wait. Remember if you're overfaced it can cause you to not want to do any of it. So allot a number of jobs to do, apart from the regular chores that need to be done, don't go over or under that number and soon the list will be done, ticking them off as you go. The sense of accomplishment will be felt and that is one less weight. Just remember what will be, will be. Take every day as it comes, there is enough wickedness in today. The morrow will look after itself :) I would also see drs about the flu not going. There are some other products you could try for it, they helped me shift it... A Vogel Echinaecia drops and their cough mixture also which are both very good for helping to rebuild the immune system. Also Zane Hellas do oregano capsules, you have to order them from Greece, but they're not that costly and the oregano helps to rebuild the immune system. My brother takes this everyday, the tablets, as they help his sinus issues :) all the best and keep posting x

Not enough sleep is horrendous, I feel for you, it makes everything seem worse than it is. Hopefully the Dr can help you out and get you on an even keel again, things won't seem so bad after a good nights sleep.

So we've had our run of bad luck over the last few years with one thing and another.

What are people's views on fate and the mysterious way that life unweaves itself?

Dad always felt that life played out the way it did for a reason even if that reason isn't immediately apparent. He wasn't religious by any means but always felt there was a greater power at work with life.

I’m a believer that everything happens for a reason even If we don’t agree at the time

No telly here but have been dropping of early due to being so tired only to wake up in a couple of hours and lay awake in between going out checking Sheep and cows. Last night forced myself to stay up till eleven, had a nice warm shower, dropped off then woke up at twelve, lets hope I get a better night tonight.

That is very good advice. Just lying quietly, breathing deeply will help to relax you. Try to focus your mind on something.- next minute you've dropped off!

Thanks @spin cycle @waterbuffalofarmer @Lili, I had a slightly better night last night with two three hour sleeps. Very tired today but got most of the jobs done and been out on the quad helping gather the fell this aft. My eldest son, one of my daughters and my nephew all came to help after work which made me keep going and very proud.
I try the breathing technique @spin cycle but I usually can’t stop my brain intervening no matter how hard I try to relax.
Anyway going to try and get to bed now, thanks again for all the advice and kind words
