How come you've got daffs all over the field?
Angloflora had them here for two years 2000-2002. Even through ploughing they keep coming back. Saves buying any flowers! Almost all the fields here grow them to some extent and this isn't the worst by a long shot. They normally disappear by first cut.
I thought pretty toxic but they do look pretty!
From the web 'All parts of the daffodil contain a toxic chemical, lycorine. The part of the plant that contains the highest concentration of lycorine is the bulb. However, eating any part of the plant can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. These symptoms usually last about 3 hours'
Explains why @Agrispeed can be a little grumpy at times.
I don't make a habit of eating them!
The cows pick at them but don't really eat them. They love rubbing on them and smashing the sh!t out of them though for some reason
