Son and Heir home for the weekend so I put him to good use loading bales while I stacked them in the yard
I must be getting a soft touch as he collered Merlo with aircon while I sweated my nads off in the old one

What's the advantage of big squares over rounds in your system?

Don't know if there are any advantages in a silage bale
But we have a square baler and the speed we can bale and clear fields baling hay and straw is way better than round bales
Also we can store more straw in a shed in square bales also hauliers prefer square bales if we sell any

Thanks, can understand the straw reasoning just don't know anything about them in silage.

Been a bit chaotic here lately

Added another one to the pack

.....and then another, this one was an unexpected bonus, normally hard to find Tollers, so didn’t like to say no

Got a bit more done in the kitchen as well

Shower rooms nearly there, nice to have a wc that flushes again

That poor first one looks shattered!

How many is the pack up to now? Are you trying to collect the whole set....one of each breed?!

Think Mrs Adeptandy is after all the colours in Labradors though, we're now at 9, 1 potential Golden Retriever stud ( health tests permitting ) and 8 bitches at the moment, think there's a black Lab to come then hopefully she's got her base breeding group, might get a Toller male if there's a chance ( as stud fee's for those are £1k a pop ) and she can get the right breeding coefficient, but with so few of them in the country might have to look abroad for that.
So far we now have 2 x Duck Tollers, 2 x Chocolate Labs, Yellow & Fox Red Lab, and 3 x Golden Retrievers, all working type apart from 1 of the choccy Labs :)

First one had just arrived at her new home, so was a bit sleepy and confused ;)

You have a better memory than me, yes I have 2 on the go, both on the mains, one is a 15000i with the auto controller - which does both of them, although the other one is a bit smaller.

Worked perfectly for over a year so far, pay the extra for the 'i' with the controller - it not only tells you which way to walk for a fault but miraculously can turn the energiser on and off from anywhere on the line (as long as there is not heavy green stuff earthing) which speeds the job up hugely, I am currently running about 5 or 6 miles on the 15000 of single strand ht wire and there is 10.3 kv anywhere you care to check.

got a fault finder all ready

auto on or off ,......ring wife

I've just ordered a Hotline Phoenix 1600 with the mobile control interface for quite a bit less than a Rappa 15000i with the remote. It'll let me switch it remotely but it'll also text me if the line voltage drops or is shorted, ideal as I'm about to use electric fence near the gypsy camp for the first time in 20 years :nailbiting::rolleyes:.

I'll let you all know how I get on with it once it's in use.
