I suppose you can only buy what the shops are selling. ....

I was disappointed - I hardly saw anyone in Harris Tweed plus fours. ....

We must have been there on different days, rocking the plus fours I was

Never needed a waistcoat of any sorts. Just pulled the first good looking fun girl and warmed up with her. Buy them a drink and when struggling we used to say to horsey set ," save your horse and ride a cowboy " . Needless to say we try to forget that onliner

Swear to god, I’m using this at the first opportunity I get. Brilliant :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The best rugby shirt by miles were the Seale Hayne colours. Blue and orange. Kept mine for years after I left but my mother took a liking to it and stole it. Same with my Bicton rugby shirt.
I wore my sweaters with the Seale Hayne crest for years but when I got them out last, the moths had eaten them.
We used to wear the wind cheater things with the big crest on, but my sister stole mine.
Another favourite in my day were body warmers, either Marty McFlys with wormer logos, or for the nobs, John Deere ones with no collar (which always looked a bit gay...:) ) Desert boots were popular for a while too.

Hey, don't slag the YFC dress code, at least I never saw any young guy dressed in the de rigeur city look of skinny jeans above the ankle, no socks, girly loafers and a jacket that ends at that stupid length just above your arse which makes you look like you've got a BIG FAT ASS!!

Now that is a crime against fashion .
Yep, I’d agree with you

Have any of these negative posters had a look around a city centre at how yoofs dress there ??

So in forum land,a situation where young people identifying with country life, keeping traditions alive by engaging in the traditional pursuits is a bad thing :scratchhead:

In the next breath, you are all moaning that youngsters aren’t interested in rural life, but also that townies are disconnected from rural life, then you slag off the young ‘uns because they look smart and are interested in the country !!!

There really is some utter sh*te spouted on here at times, and it’s no wonder we as an industry are struggling to recruit good staff when they end up working for employers with such negative and blindly opinionated views ....

I used to use the chat up line "you don't sweat much for a fat lass" With very limited success.

I know an old boy who wears speedos and wellies around the farm
He does have the decency to throw an old waxed jacket over his shoulders if he's going to the shops though!
Years ago there was a farmer who had land on both sides of town. He would dress like that for most of the Summer. Because he was amply built you could not see the speedos as he passed along the high street on his 35x. Many times the police would turn up saying there had been a complaint about a naked man on a tractor. Used to puzzle me what these complainants were, 'cos it was long before mobiles had been invented which meant they had gone to the trouble of going to find a kiosk and making the call. Obviously there was nothing to see 'cos all guards were in place and all equipment was properly shielded.

Thought the 2 young ladies on the dubarry stand looked very smart in their tweed outfits and leather boots [emoji12] but the bloke looked a complete to55er with his trousers tucked into his boots like a pair of wellies [emoji54]
