I agree, horrid to have to sell at these prices, the weather has a lot to blame for. Im dripping out lambs and buying stores so no change in numbers on farm, if we look to get some rain then I may buy another 100/200 more stores and that will be enough.

My average so far the last month is just under £50 I think now.
Hi jerry, had 150 last Friday out of Exeter, stop to buying today as I am unsure how well my wheat is going to turn out, and if stubble turnips will come to much.

Much the same as me. Got enough winter grass for the ewes but need the turnips to carry many stores.

Were you in today?

And now trying to work out who you are! :)

If Brexit negotiations don’t improve quick then there is no withdrawal bill, as such no transition period and we bomb out end of March 19. If we do then lamb will crash over night, and beef will go up - but only until a rushed USA trade deal is done. sh1!s getting serious now.

What their base now 345..with all our cost we are buggered airt we

Cant see any reason for deadweight to drop this week as live markets all week have generally seen a much stronger trade than last week.

Hate to say it but people are over paying for store cattle, esp younger sorts, 12 month old cattle that are making £640/50 need to drop another £100 head but where that leaves the suckler producer god only knows and long term low prices aren't sustainable for any farmers.

No point worrying about Brexit, both sides are playing a game of chess and regardless of the outcome good or bad for us nothing will be sorted out at least for several months/ until the 11 hour of the last day we are in the EU.

Personally don't see it actually happening, never did based on the impossible promises made. And the closer we get to a cliff edge then our gov will back track and then it will not get through parliament because brexiteers will vote against it. But back on track, called into Frome today and young blue dairy bred heifers, 8 months, barely 200 kgs looked hungry and serious at £580. A pair of black Hex heifers same spec looked cheap at £420 as next years bullers.

Brexit in some shape or form will happen or else democracy is dead in the UK and so will the conservative party be as well.

Also if we stay in the EU will make us at the very min pay more money in/ join the Euro etc etc so staying in is not an option any more.

£420 for 200 kilo heifers is £100 too much as things stand.
