Although litres were down I sent more total solids in October than September. A new record milk check as well. Still milking well now but having to feed more to get it.
sorry for what maybe a stupid question what's PKE?I only sold a bit over 13 litres but only fed 2 kg cake, 2 kg DM of silage and a little PKE at the end of the month. Still doing the same production but on 3 kg cake and 3 kg PKE.

We were planning on using this at one point end of July when forage stocks were looking desperate, but then with the rain came and with the backend being so good cattle still out we should have silage to sell, a complete turn around17 protein

Its the second ingredient after wheat in my cake ,followed by sunflower exp. What does that say about the cake? My autumn group are not milking especially well considering their on very good silage and rolled wheat and rape with parlour cake .Solids are good with proteins averaging 3.7 last month from predominately b and w.It has it's place as silage replacement, but as a concentrate it's only 50% digestible, so it need to be cheap
