415kg is back 50pDid you not get docked 45P on the O-3 that was over 400 kilos ?
Bloody hell415kg is back 50p
O-3 back 35p
between 410kg&420kg back 15p
Rubbish isn’t it, but thinking about it, if a heifer goes just over 400 at woodheads, it instantly loose 15p as looses its bonus. Admittedly it will still a long way ahead of 2.75.Bloody hell
I am afraid that's not how business works in the real world, or successful ones anyway. He didn’t buy them too dear...just sold them too cheap

Did you know these cattle were bought too dear when @had e nuff bought them? Or was it just yesterday when he sold them?I am afraid that's not how business works in the real world, or successful ones anyway.
Don't know what he paid for them or what he sold them for, but noticed he stated he had made nothing from them!!!. Darlington store trade yesterday was very good (for the sellers) hence why I suggested they had been bought to dear.Did you know these cattle were bought too dear when @had e nuff bought them? Bob,don’t try and be a clever ....Who the hell could have envisaged such a downturn in cattle prices when bought maybe 18 to 24 months ago?Don't know what he paid for them or what he sold them for, but noticed he stated he had made nothing from them!!!. @had e nuff sold the farm and had to sell them early and smaller instead of growing them into profit...he couldn’t help the beef job taking a downturnDon't know what he paid for them or what he sold them for, but noticed he stated he had made nothing from them!!!. That's fine, but you never know what price might do in a month or to six months if you have nothing in the shed you know that you won't make nothing like that either. Was speaking to a neighbour last week, who came back from a mart with nothing, he said they were too dear and he wasn't willing to fatten cattle for nothing to make the abattoirs richer.
He made me laugh when he said he was lucky as he had not caught the empty shed virus. Many farmers can not bear to have sheds empty and will still fatten cattle when they know full well there's no money in the job.
You have to be in it to win it!! Nothing ventured nothing gained...That's fine, but you never know what price might do in a month or to six months if you have nothing in the shed you know that you won't make nothing like that either.
I think grass fever is worse than empty shed syndrome...but I can’t see beef going down now...only upWas speaking to a neighbour last week, who came back from a mart with nothing, he said they were too dear and he wasn't willing to fatten cattle for nothing to make the abattoirs richer.
