Broadway Star conundrum

I always used drill or biopower with broadway star. No exceptions. Same with Atlantis etc. If I was going after grass weeds the adjuvant went in.

Iirc we used Methyl 47 and/or Cropspray with it. 150l/ha, medium spray, 8-9km/hr.
Atlantis the same year worked perfectly well as I remember that clearly.

What are you trying to kill with Broadway?

ryegrass

trying to find some pics but I’m not anywhere near the comp. I did find this one which I think was 2008 after it had been applied.

You'd certainly need a good oil for ryegrass. Very waxy leaves. The crop is softer than the ryegrass, which is normally in stem extension at this time of year & harder to kill.

Didn’t think it was meant to be very good on ryegrass anyway

It’s not it’s utter crap, but not what the manufacturer and resellers suggest!

you need to be early for good ryegrass control - it will do it though, has done here again this year

after a few years you will have less requirement to do it......
Yes, but as the problem reduces it becomes ever less tiresome and more fun.

Last year we were down to under 2 wild oat plants/acre, having started with several thousand when we commenced rogueing in 1964.

Unfortunately, we shall never be completely free because every year birds drop imported seed, particularly under telecom and power cables

If you are that professional and conscientious surely after a few years you will have less requirement to do it......

Not really. One crappy crop in the rotation and it's back to square one. It's never ending. I only rogue wheat, although if I go into winter beans then I will do them too.
