Fertiliser Price Tracker

Hope there is, I've just started in it this year. Over £1000 value per cow, £1-2000 in infrastructure plus parlour and some machinery. You do the maths.
anyway, I had prices on Yara last that looked dear compared to those quoted above. Have enough in the shed to cover what I need after the dismal crop of silage I picked up yesterday. And it won’t get spread till it rains, so not going anywhere soon by the looks. So I’m sitting tight.
Glad someone in my area feels the same about first cut..some of our driest fields looked like there were in some low input scheme where you don't apply fertiliser....

I meant form of sulphur/product. I think you need to know yield as well as protein.

My mistake.

A second one in fact. Reading back through my earlier post you quoted I said apply 100kg SO3.

What I meant to say is 100kg ammonium sulphate, so 60kg SO3.

Apologies for the confusion.

I can see the yield to some extent....but the protein test is a plant test, not a grain test. I think that would remove the yield variable as it just shows (hypothetically) whether the plant tested will hit protein. I assume it’s based on a model that assumes a certain yield.

Liquid or granular?

I'm going to chance putting half the aftercut application on tomorrow in hope of some moisture Tuesday night onwards.....
