What's occurring in countries like Spain and Italy, where it all kicked off ? Don't hear much on the news, other than the lockdown in Barcelona ? Are things under control ?

Who says everyone is furloughed? A lot of my office based family members have been working from home, both as employees and self employed. Only aware of one being furloughed and ironically he works in the ag supply sector, was the time of year he would have been doing a lot of crop field trials days, shows etc. Only off for 3 weeks and back at it full tilt now. They need a holiday now to recover from furlonged boredom???

Seems some pubs have had to shut because attendees on Saturday night have had positive test result on monday morning, these results take couple of days to come back which means they had the test before they went to the pub?
Wouldn't you have waited until you had the all clear before going out like that?
What happen to quarantine?
getting a test seems to be a badge of honour.Do they not have to be showing symptoms to have a test, or is it a free for all now?
Who been paying wages if not Government?
Blood test in Chemists £40 around here?Do they not have to be showing symptoms to have a test, or is it a free for all now?
Still not sure what you are getting at. All those family members who are working at home are not on furlough, they are on their normal work, their employer is not claiming anything from the Government. One is self employed and is working from home instead of going into his office or out to meet clients (although starting the latter now). The one who was furloughed for 3 weeks - doing no work for his employer - and is now back at work, of course his employer was claiming from the furlough scheme, that's what being furloughed means. They paid his full wage and claimed 80% from Govt. I can't understand what is being queried here? The only point I was making was querying your original sweeping statement that the rest of the world seems to have been on furlough and is now swanning off on holiday. I have seen more of my neighbours around in the village these last few months but again, only one was furloughed (and is now back at work), the rest were working from home and not on furlough.Who been paying wages if not Government?

Different senario's everywhere allegedly but what I have seen varies greatly.Still not sure what you are getting at. You got some funny ideas m8!Still Farming has a thing about lazy, scamming employees at home on furlough laughing at him and other farmers who are toiling for 23 hours in every 24 producing food for low prices and paying taxes to keep these virus spreaders going. You will not get a straight answer from him. This post is probably considered trolling - think that is the term - but actually is just an observation of comments from following these threads.
Of more interest is you milk all being picked up and at correct price? Is the cheese factory running OK? Covid affected sales?
Thank you, yes, milk price recovered, cheese sales affected but picking back up, some cheese frozen (this is normal) but as we all reduced production their milk intake is now lower than original forecasts. They are hoping to sell milk out on a higher spot price over summer months, which will enable them to release cheese from store and rebalance stocks.Still Farming has a thing about lazy, scamming employees at home on furlough laughing at him and other farmers who are toiling for 23 hours in every 24 producing food for low prices and paying taxes to keep these virus spreaders going. I see that it will be a requirement to lodge your name, address and telephone number with pubs, restaurants and hotels before you can enter.
I can see a lot of Mickey & Mini Mouses going in the lash.
Also, it is likely that you will have to order your drinks off your mobile and will have a time limit imposed for a meal.
Are you going to bother because I’m not?
