Don't worry everyone.

I'm sure the powers that be, will be giving all us shepherds a hardship fund payout to look after us the same way as they did the dairy boys.

:ROFLMAO: :scratchhead::banghead:
Sheep farmers haven't borrowed enough money to warrant an extra hand out like the dairy industry has had. It's not the farms but the banks they borrowed money off that will benefit in a lot of cases.

Just off the phone with my mate I shear with... his neighbour buys ewe lambs to lamb and then sell on as gimmers. Texacloth have paid him 10p/kg for Scotch Mule Hogg wool

At the last BWMB auction this would have made around 0.65 p depending on quality and colour.
The trouble with selling it to Texacloth is that it just keeps them from buying out of the auction and therefore depresses the price for all wool.

Or given it over to BWMB and it'd be making 6x more, as Frank has said
BWMB is where it shouldve gone, be 60 or 65p kilo even on a bad year.....but i wouldnt take 10 or 15 ppkg of anyone, its an insult, once people see farmers on the ropes the vultures gather!

Hogg wool separate, and the Romney wool separate from the lleyns and texel crosses .
I used to take a bit of pride in sorting it all out, as if it was actually a valuable commodity!:banghead:
I remember those days, ive clipped with leggins on some days this year😂

Do people sort their hogg wool or different breed wool out before sending it?
Mine all gets lumped together
Used too. Not anymore, grade sheets always come back with Hogg wool graded out. Even on good years though I still don't think it's worth enough to spend our time sorting. Just wrap it properly, as fast as poss and bang it in that bag!
