Which tractor is the most driver friendly for a 14hr + day?

thankfully itā€™s only seasonal here & now that Iā€™ve given up contracting & only doing my own work, itā€™s only for a few days at a time

but - I have 30 + years of months straight of 14 + hour days behind a wheel

I donā€™t miss it . . .
I come from a farm where the alternative to sitting on a tractor was wielding a muck or potato fork so tractor work was a reward so as long as it had a seat it was fine for as long as you could keep going to avoid the proper work.

Has to be fendt. Autosteer, electric spools, reasonable linkage controls, all controls very ergonomic (except key and handbrake) and very comfortable suspension.
I would love to see pics of these jd cabs that are good as I have yet to be in onešŸ¤”
What more could you possibly ask for ? ?

Everything that's on your list and an armchair for a seat :ROFLMAO:

Mrs Y would be horrified if she caught me wearing trousers in that state. I would be changed into another pair and the sewing machine would be out before I could say 'Yes dear'.
Just checked, the jeans I put on clean this am have 9 patches on.
I love her so much!

That looks good, the spools would need to go into float better than 6r spools or finger would be bloody sore after 14 minutes never mind hours. Where is headland management buttons on that model?

The fendt has a better armrest with the joystick and it has the best vario
This isn't the first time you've stated fender has the best Vario, yet you've never explained why you believe this?

Is it the field or road gear that isn't synchromesh?

Is it the large hydraulic inefficiency?

Is it the awkward mechanical arrangement for going in reverse?

Or is it the colour of the buttons?

The arse is worse with sitting on it all day so no point patching the knee and I don't like sitting on patches!! Come to think of it I'll have had nothing patched in 20 yes since I left home

Right next to the auto steer. One hand can do everything with very little movement. Only time hms is used here os combi drilling with these modern tractors there's little enough to do so having to move mu hand 4 inches isn't exactly taxing !!.

A big comfy American seat and very good vision for a big lump of a thing no big dashboard helps

ive only ever driven one DB ( in the UK ), no idea what model it was, but I had enough trouble just getting into it & behind the steering wheel, I donā€™t think Iā€™d be sticking my hand up to spend a month or more of 14 + hour days in one šŸ¤£
You wouldn't even need the full 14 hours before the scream from the transmission gave you irreparable tinnitus.

Its the colour of the buttonsšŸ˜‚ i find them the smoothest. Once in the field u dont have range changes until ur goin back on the road

That's your opinion doesn't mean you or me are right tho ;);).

This thing will do everything a fendt will do at a 3rd of the price and next to 0 depreciation.

Currently waiting for a demo of a 724 fendt so I might be a convert yet :nailbiting: !!
The deere isnt a 3rd of the price of fendt. From what iv been hearing recently an equally specced fendt and deere the fendt is cheaper.
Get some pics up and a review once u get her out please šŸ˜

My old Massey had a cover on the exhaust that rattled like anything at exactly the peak torque rpm of the engine. After asking around, it turns out everyone's of that model does the same! What a joke. How can you do a long day with that sort of noise going on in kit of that cost.

This one was as it was used so would be roughly a 3rd of a new 828 which speaking to a few (4) 828 owner's and drivers I'll stick to my old 7930 for reliability

Why not just take the guard off
