I think... and it is only think as I’ve never bothered too look into it... if I bought lambs in UA on Monday, lairaged them there and then sent them straight down too Longtown on Tuesday morning that would not trigger a 6 day rule as they are both trading points?? Don’t know but I imagine that’s how it would work?

As you know Dingwall prime is a Tuesday and the Armstrong express is usually waiting to head south. pretty sure some of ours have gone south having watched was bought and some would be £40 up sending them south. Better types tbh.Have also tried sending direct to longtown and was £20 down on local. Better the devil you know sometimes 🙈

I will get slated for playing this game but WS often has a decker load down from the west side on Tuesday stores. I don’t know the comparison between prices of the two places but I gather it’s assumed trade is better at this end. Having said that you can hit a bad day anywhere

Do you need a “name” for the better prices at longtown? That was our assumption.

Some talk that buyers are going to boycott the markets from Saturday in Ireland.

They are still letting builders work as normal yet buyers cannot now go into the markets in Ireland..
Tbf when the market manager starts reading the prices out everything is well over €2/kg . Weights were awful , most weanlings struggled to get over 300kg. He was stressed out fairish, poor old sod.
