I imagine that’s why there was so much of it spread today we were up through the slats this morningNot sure how much of the slurry spread today will still be in the field by this time tomorrow if the forecast is right.

But the calendar says it's ok to spread so it's bound to be fine. Not sure how much of the slurry spread today will still be in the field by this time tomorrow if the forecast is right.

Concrete or........?Only a matter of time until the ban is extended into February, get your slurry store order in quick, beat the rush.
If they had any sence in winter instead of it bein a slurry ban it would be a no spreadin in wet weather banOnly a matter of time until the ban is extended into February, get your slurry store order in quick, beat the rush.

If ALL farmers had any 'sence' 15 years ago there would be no ban. Problem is its still the same ones polluting wether its October February or June.If they had any sence in winter instead of it bein a slurry ban it would be a no spreadin in wet weather ban

StainlessAre there really any proper alternatives?
So if thats the case why are they sticky about giving planning permission for new tanks if we are needin more storage? No. They also say you must also consider the conditions (common sense really, but they do need to spell it out for some people), including the near term forecast for rain. Yin ewe has obviously looked and knows what's coming. Which is why the rules also require us to have a minimum of an extra months storage, in order to be able to hold through wet spells on the shoulders of the closed period. There is really no need to spread on the 1st of February if the conditions aren't met. A bigger problem is a wet summer/backend.

More stock?Ok. I'm on your side here, but for the sake of argument, why do you need more storage? Did your farm avail of the grant in 2008?
More stock?
That's a simplistic argument Agrarian. I put up a store in 2008 twice the size dard recommended, still not that big but main problem is dirty water. Silo run off, high ground behind, high water table , springs etc. Water appears from everywhere during a wet winter. Maybe you get it too handy.lolOk.
