The "national farmers union" implies that it speaks for the whole of uk agriculture. It certainly doesn't speak for me, nor has it spoken for people like me for a very long time. Good on the grass roots group for showing the initiative, at least they seem like a sensible level headed bunch, it's a pity that (as this thread highlights) no good deed goes unpunished.

@holwellcourtfarm

Why did you not think that the nature friendly farming network, that your a prominent member of, fairly represented you and you needed to have another group put your views across?

If there was an argument to be lost then you may have just done so.

Have you read the EFRA document submission?

Will you care when a snotty nosed EA guy turns up in a few years and tells you what you can’t do?
Rude comments about not having any balls kicked this rudeness off
Totally unnecessary
Its not about who has balls, who is lazy or who min tills, its the fact that a secret cabal within tff has put forward to govt using the tff name a set of views which most have not even seen never mind had the chance to object to

Our names were sent in with the Submission which Kevs screen shot clearly shows , we didn't hid behind our usernames and the evidence is public, nowhere does it say we represent TFF , I perhaps do go your point a bit about using TFF in our name But that is the platform we use for communicating, if we'd all used Tik tok then it would have been Tik tok Grassroots group.
The articles in the FG also clearly have the farmer's REAL name & they are a member of the TFF Grassroots group, how clear and open can it
Why did no one from the group think to mention this before?
Everyone moans about NFU doing deals in dark rooms and then this.
as has been said before, with Base being a closed group on the cropping side, and the grassroots group on the forage side, is the forum beginning to be the victim of its own success.

all a bit Animal farm with @Clive as Napoleon.

However, having said that, the group have made some excellent points
Aside from the obvious one about destroying the World and our farms

After 20 odd pages still can’t fathom why TFF was used, what was wrong with “Grassroots a group of likeminded farmers off a popular Agricultural forum “, no one would have blinked an eye and plenty of kudos would have be given when it broke who and what was involved

With TFF been used it implies either it was used as to influence attention to either the said paper or the website , and that is the point that is been made but seems to be missed by many .

True. Several of our group are in Wales. They had useful observations though...

They might have had useful observations but if they live in Wales ( or NZ for that matter ) their views should not be submitted to Defra etc about what Elms etc should encompass/ look like etc as it will NOT affect them if in Wales/ NZ etc as Wales with have their own scheme just like currently is the case!

So explain who decided who could join your little secret group?

The name/ way it has been set up you are on purpose or otherwise giving the impression your views represent all the TFF farmer members and want it to do so!

If this was not the case you would have no problem in saying : Yes perhaps it gives the wrong impression using the TFF name and we should change the name of our group going forwards! but you do not which says a lot!

Forums usually do die out as others take over.
It's just an money racket from an advertising billboard these days, ever increasing as footfall increases.

It's entertaining though, with this thread being of more entertainment than most!

They used the TFF name on purpose.

May have missed it but has Clive stated that he gave them permission to use the TFF name and if yes why did he do so to a very small closed group of members??

No one other than a select few knew anything about this group, all very behind the doors stuff which would be fine if they were not going out of their way to claim they represent all TFF farmer members.

From what henrar said on an earlier post, @Clive invites the 14 to join a group entitled TFF grassroots
