Some FAST thinking needed as changing variants across the globe ,wave after wave going to break us all if something not devised ?
They need to treat it like Flu, one booster jab every winter and we get on with life!

In 2016/18 ( or around then ) one winter 60k people died of Flu in the UK alone over about 5 months!

Yet the Gov have lost the plot over a new covid strain that has had one death ( and even then they will not release any details about if it was from or with the new strain/ were they vaccinated etc etc!

Wales only:

From midnight Friday-
• Rule of 6 in pubs with table service.
• Two homes (number unlimited) can form a bubble.
• Nightclubs closed.
• Large events cancelled (such a festive gatherings and fairgrounds).
• Sporting events with more than 500 people must be played behind closed doors.
• Gyms and leisure facilities can remain open with limited capacity.
• All shops and retail to remain open with limited capacity and stick enforcement of mask wearing where applicable.
Well if that does not show people its all about control then i do not know what will...

Are the Welsh Gov going to support all these pubs/ nighclubs and the staff who work in them. supply them etc or leave them out to dry??

And will people listen to any of this crap ref only two homes/ bubbles etc?? will be very intresting to see if they do or not!

The "Beast" is ahead of the game all the time, looks like, and all traditional approaches and practices are out the window possibly!

Maybe they will have things like daily lateral flow testing now for every employee.Other measures to keep folk at work.
Trouble is you cannot now get LFT test kits for love or money!

I actually think its not covid that is the biggest problem getting and keeping staff on the lines but the low rate of pay for what is a very hard and unpleasant job!

Utter rubbish, Nearly ALL studies show masks do not work!

And if masks did work then why has Scotland and Wales had such high case numbers all summer when it was law you had to wear a mask?? whilst in Britain you did not have to wear a mask and case numbers dropped dramatically!

Mask wearing is all about making scared people like you feel safe and to keep the covid narrative in the minds of everyone each and every day! its all about population control ref wearing masks, even the UK Gov admitted that in the summer!

really?

The thing is pubs/clubs and nightclubs are not essential. Big concert in Glasgow on Sunday night,Deacon Blue playing the SECC 15000 attending , Cup final in Hampden on Saturday,10s of thousands there but we are limited to maximum of three households mixing. There is some seriously mixed up thinking going on.

Stood in the queue yesterday in the co-op. Young fella in front coughing and sneezing. If he had been wearing a mask all the spittle and gunk would have been on his face not all over the tins on the shelf next to him (we could see it as we side stepped past).
If wearing a mask helps hygeiene, even just a little bit, I'm happy to wear one, it's no skin off my nose. Sick to death of hearing people arguing about wether they work or not, they're a muzzle etc and all the other conspiracy theories going around.

Actually the thing is pubs/clubs etc are essential to the people who work in them and the businesses/staff who supply them!

Unless of course the Gov is going to bring back support like Furlough/ the bounce back loan to support them whilst they are shut!

And of course these places are essential from a mental health point of view as well !

You only get one life, are people really going to have to waste half of their life each year living in lockdown for years on end for something that is no worse for most people than a common cold??

Only mixed up thinking going on is that some people think lockdown after lockdown is the answer!

How did people manage without night clubs for all of millennia until the last 20 years?
To suggest they are invaluable to society is ludicrous

After today's numbers, probably buy the first weeks of January there will be way over 100000 a day. I think after Xmas day the country will shut again for a month. This get a jag won't hold it back in the end it will be out of control, Johnstone always playing it up but that expert looked and sounded worried tonight.

Or it will peak within about a week or two - like every other wave has done

We do not live in the dark ages anymore!

The problem is that people like yourself who are very wealthy/ retired are not affected by businesses like pubs/ nightclubs being shut and lockdowns being implemented yet if you were 50 years younger and were affected you would be thinking the total opposite of what you currently do.

Good Question... Seriously. My reply would be because of all the thick ones where rules were lapse thinking it was ok to export themselves elsewhere.,

A lot of the Angry ones in wales haven't a pot to pee in and are involved in the Tourism industry

So the coming of night clubs is the equivalent of the Enlightenment 😂😂😂
Taking simple precautions, masks, distancing and whatever vaccinations are available is just an easy way to lessen the effects of this virus.
Sadly so many cannot bother to take the smallest of precautions that means the virus can spread so quickly ensuring that the government has to take these sort of steps to protect those idiots who are too f***** lazy or ignorant to get the jab

They don't work. But feelings seem to guide rather than evidence.

Remember the Kent variant everyone?
