Anyone else think it's getting a bit dry? No rain for weeks, ground cracking, and no rain forecast.
What ! Only just finished spring drilling last week, all land drains still running and we’ve had 39mm for April.Anyone else think it's getting a bit dry? No rain for weeks, ground cracking, and no rain forecast.
We have 30cm of topsoil , not 30ft to store water
No April has been horrible 80mm and really cold worst of the year so far . The last week has been better but the damage is done to spring crops newly sown
I think il move down too Fife land of milk and honey! Not going well for you at all. Last spring was to dry and hit spring crops further north hard, now to wet.
Same here - first ears by the end of the week - if so, I'll put up a pic.Could soon do with some here, winter barley ground starting to crack up,
