I don’t ever see carbon credits ever being a thing unless the uk government act as a middle man. They rent your land pay you a more than fair return than you could make cropping they get you to ( rewild ) to a certain point I’d no corn or livestock it and then sell the ( credits ) on your behalf government bonded with a nice little profit for them , this could be exported to high carbon other country’s. Bringing in coffers time and time again but this cannot be done without the gov as the landowner is at too much risk from big business

Didn't see the programme but I can guess who you're talking about. He showed my brother and me around the farm belonging to the well known owner about twenty years ago and we were extremely impressed. He was doing a hell of a good job.

Just watching on repeat on BBC2 actually think it was one of the most balanced, informative, pro farming programmes they’d produced in some time.

There was actually lambing last week, along with some ideas for thrifty use of delicious, quality lamb ~ as in prime young sheep ~ and tonight some sensible info about goats, and cattle management.

What are they all on, all of a sudden?

It’s not a farming programme but a snippet of features about the countryside that more often than not doesn’t cover farming at all. It doesn’t really cover the countryside objectively either. More a shop window for the “environment” lobby most of the time. Should be called “Envirofile”
