Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

I can tell the difference between someone who can do it and someone who can’t
I was picking some sheep up at a neighbours and he was shearing he asked me what I reckoned to how well he was doing them
I told him ‘there’s only a fortnight difference between a good haircut and a bad one’
My Mrs cringed
I asked my sister in law if Edward scissor hands had been when she did a few

Cheap enough, probably be worth £1200 straight off grass sept/oct. Smaller plainer cattle seem to be nose diving which is a concern and i dont think cows and calves are going to be the flyer they usually are unless they are quality. I still dont see why the trade on smaller cattle is falling unless grass is short, they will live on forage alone next winter so corn price shouldnt effect their trade now🤷‍♂️ If anything calf trade should be awful as they need hard feed now and next winter.

A few were moaning about the trade of stores last week all had smaller types
Went to Kirby breeding cattle sale yesterday it was only a recognisance mission for me
Any decent heifers and calves were £2500 plus some up around £3000
Incalf heifers although best sorts were making £2300/£2400 all day long some more some less
Nothing cheap that’s for sure
