If they took all these useless pointless gadgets and electronics off the tractors they may of been able to keep the price to a more realistic one…..and how come they are meant to be getting more technically advanced….and yet they break down more now than they did 15/20 years ago
They do that’s why you can buy these cases so cheap with decent warranty on them. There 90’s technology.

Must be great setting a price and not being price takers.

They keep increasing prices and farmers keep buying. In fact they have full order books with waiting lists.
This is half the problem, spoke to local machinery man recently, can’t get machinery and tractors fast enough, full order books, all grassland machinery on order sold before start of season, can’t buy secondhand tractors from farm sales as farmers falling over themselves to give a good price.
Try convincing him there are financial problems in farming

Apparently there was that big of a stink kicked up by the die hard Case men a few years ago about all the bull crap they had added too the tractors. That’s why they developed and brought out the Farmall range out. Real basic is the A class like ours, up too the few extras you get on the C class. Gone back too stockmans tractors.
A few years ago we couldn’t get a simple tractor anywhere. They all went a bit silly

If that Ford 4600 I posted a picture of with the dogs yesterday was available new I'd buy one again but with 4wd. I have a loader for it but it's not great in 2wd so don't use it really. But dad did for a long time. Wouldn't need to be any bigger either it will lift a round bale and load a muckspreader what else does a stock farm loader tractor need to do 🤷‍♂️
And I can fix it myself and no pointless sensors and switches to go wrong all the time.

I think quite a lot of people are using the BPS to put up sheds and invest in machinery so when BPS ends they can shut the gate in the knowledge they shouldn't need any major capital expenditure for the next 10 years
