Claas combine quotes

I was told the wiring looms were being made in the Ukraine. Also microchips are in short supply.
An 8900 will definitely start with a £5 or even a £6 now.
That's shocking have they really gone up by that much? Is this a temporary supply and demand thing ?

(not that I have ever known them go down in price on the price list at least anyway)

I have been looking to change a LEXION 570 for a younger machine all year. Local Claas salesman now says they have suitable used machines that would interest me, but they will not enter into discussions until after harvest. If I was a Claas customer waiting for a new harvester, and having to use a used machine provided by Claas I don't think I'd be inclined to release it after harvest until the new machine turned up.

There's a dealer with a Lexion 770 north of here in proper arable country for sale with only 80 hours on it for 395k euros which is 340k in pounds.

I thought that was a shocking price when I saw it but perhaps not now.

Weve changed combine this year , our new to us combine was bought and paid for in feb and we have it in our shed. . There could well be an opportunity for a bit of contracting further down the chain if we were so minded as it seems there are a number of farms that have let the old combine go before the new one has landed and others that are awaiting a stand in. In various ways could prove to be one of the best bit of advice our accountants have given us

We bought a new one on our accountants advice last year too. Delighted we did the way prices have increased.

Price seemed crazy at the time.

Bloody hell.

I know its been talked about before but at what stage does refurbishing with service care package become a better deal? Whats the cost of the first years combining when a machine costs £600k?

local dealer has sold 23 ish combines for 2022 only 5-6 will be here for harvest
Yes heard similar and they have started buying in 2nd hand combines for the farmers who had sold their old ones.Must be difficult for them and Class UK,apparently it's difficult sourcing some of the internal components.Mines here though as it had done a couple of demos last season,I actually feel quite fortunate.

Is it just claas or all combine makers
Jd had employee strikes late last year which slowed the large combine production.I understand Case are now having the same issue with the unions. Class factory in Russia is now in limbo and steel from Mariupol stopped as well . Wiring looms are made in Ukraine apparently, which added to Class woes. Header trailers are also lagging behind too, especially for the large headers. Production issues have coincided with peak demand for agricultural equipment fuelled by higher prices.

I bought new totally against my wife’s advice. I will let her read all of this to show how wise i am. My combine complete did cost £ 30,000 less than a 45 foot convio flex header so again i will tell her how wise i am.

Was told at Claas open day a few weeks ago there was a component shortage for the combines which is probably the cause of the lack of supply, tractors too with apparently a thousand sitting at French factory waiting for parts
