I went though mine yesterday after not taking stores to last sale at skipton,

had some at 45kg and fat, managed to get 45 out of em over 40kg and nearly all fat one of two slightly leaner but massive so stuck them in another lot,

Lets hope taking fat pays off, not taken any for a few years usually all stores will find out later when they email me

can we have a sticky on the tope of this thread with just prices, it taken me ages to scroll through every time? who mod on here?

Day sat in a beer garden then?

2 day hangover recovering from Dumfries show and night out...

Silly school boy error - had my breakfast before I left home... then only had 1 gummy bear I stole off a friend's son... 1 chip I stole from another friend's gf... and 1 cheeseburger I had to buy 😂 and let's not say how much rum was consumed but I'm sure Jack Sparrow could've sailed a boat in it

Fat would be 250 odds today, spoke to a guy at Stirling last week, said that lmbs around 48/50kg are around 130 in August then he would be OK to pay around 90 for nice white face types, just to run on nice grass, as he said they surly will be more come November time. So that's what some buyers are thinking.

Better than stores!

Fairly happy with them prices to be honest as they were generally only just @ weights and as above a few were leaner!

the last 2 batches of 3 on the list are more muley types and some slightly leaner but big framed dark faced ones,

think i should have sorted the others a bit more the larger lots were nice lambs and very consistent i guess buyers just like the smaller lots?

Last time I was at Bentham with Culls I noticed too many woolly ewes with dark shoulders or tails that they kept trying to bite and shake. 🤦🏻‍♂️ It REALLY annoys me that people send blown sheep into market. It’s bad husbandry and just plain lazy!! They weren’t even dealers ewes! Would be the work of a minute, maybe 2 to burl it out and get the maggots off. Be dry in 2/3 hours and ready for sale! If it’s that bad it isn’t dried up in that time it sure as hell
Shouldn’t be in the market!

Yeah I thought it a touch sad to see the market needing to put that on the bottom of the sale report!

I won't send anything that's been fresh struck. I'll wait till all discolouring has left the area before I even think of taking it to market. If I've to trim them I'll leave them til some regrowth

I bought a load of struck ewe lambs one year. Cost me £10 less and vender had to pay me £5/head to treat them.
