No no no, you should just start up a new forage threadThink I'll go over to the fuel tracker thread and see if there are any forage prices
SML full of forage but not much being sold . A stack of silage made £30 a bale at a sale not far from here but I think it went to a digester .Round bale hay being advertised at £25 bale ex farm
Round bale red clover late 1st cut in May by a Mchale baler at £29 bale ex farm.
Both private sales.
Organic hay was £90/t in June....now £140SML full of forage but not much being sold . A stack of silage made £30 a bale at a sale not far from here but I think it went to a digester .
Speak to anybody in hereford about fodder and they quote the £30/bale made at that sale. I hear straw price has crept up a tiny bit, only need farmers to start adding abit more straw to the feed mix and alot more gets used. Still alot of straw stacked on headlands with no home though.SML full of forage but not much being sold . A fair bit gone down m4 this last fortnight some very nice looking spring barleyDrove up the A303 this morning, not my normal route but must have seen at least 30 loads of straw ,some driving in convoys of five , our resident straw man was one of them Puntabrava, is it normal at this time of the year to see so many or is it drought effected , I did not see one heading to Wales on the m4 , it's dead quiet at home
