Anyone had results trying to improve a poor mobile signal , we have good signal but it's 200m from the house by which time we're down to 1 bar . :scratchhead:

Dunno if these are approved in the UK, but they are the only legal boosters available here.
Work well, I have one in my house ( I have no landline & mobile signal is very poor )

lots of people have them hardwired into their vehicles as well

not cheap though, about $1200

our mobile signals seem to be getting worse over the years, not better 🤦‍♂️

Unless the law here has changed recently, these are illegal to use in UK but not illegal to buy.

WiFi calling has mostly made cell boosters irrelevant but that requires good broadband.

Is CDMA still in use in Oz?

I’ve had one for 7 or 8 years maybe, antennae on side of house and booster in the kitchen, doesn’t work for texts but gives us good signal in the kitchen where beforehand we had none.

Depends how much you want to spend
Someone on here set up a mobile router & antenna 200 m from their yard & sent the signal back to the yard using wireless bridge kit. Involved digging a power cable
See if I can find the thread

That’s fine for data, doesn’t work with phone signal for calls.

a lot of the time, I use mobile data ( via the booster ) for my internet connection, even using my phone as a “hot spot” for my desk top PC

the only broadband available to my house is satellite & it can be pretty sh!t at times

CDMA doesn’t exist anymore

It does with wifi calling. Got an outside aerial to send tinterweb to the robots. So also works for most of our farm yard as well as the house. You can have perfect phone signal in one place, walk a few yards & its gone. Wifi calling works well everywhere.

Vodafone here is awful, get a signal at the front of the house, go to back rooms and it's gone off.

Used to be a Mast across the valley on an old quarry, since they took that away it's no good, daughter as been with most providers over the last few years but they're all the same.

Vodafone some years go did sell something to boost signal, but not anymore, they now claim coverage is so good it's not needed, and they don't seem bothered about loosing a customer.
