So we’ve modified, developed and pimped the rear tine based coulter bar of our Horsch front tank based twin outlet drilling rig as far as we can like triggers broom and it’s now time to produce the next evolution to take it to the next level from what we’ve learnt and utilising newly parts and of course the inherent expertise here on Tff.
We also have a weaving GD rear end we use with the tank which is good in certain applications which we are keeping.
but there is still a place for a tine coulter in our system particularly in a year like this. So what I’m looking at is something along these lines:-
- 4.8m mounted folding
- 30 coulters (160mm row spacing, 400mm inter row) double entry for G and f, either 12nm metcalfe Assemblies or 19mm Bourgault point on our own designed assembly
- 30 discs in a single row in front of the coulters like a Simtec interchangeable with a row of rigid tines 15 for cereals between each pair of coulters or 10 directly in front of every third coulter for rape to give 480mm rows.
- guttler roller
- Vaderstad type fiollowing harrow
- existing tiurbojet on top for avadex / pellets
be interested to hear others thoughts / experiences particularly if we are designing our own coulters with the Bourgault tip.
Cheers
Alistair
