do you need to do it all in one go? If they came out over a couple years you are likely to catch anyone's attention. If they are truly diseased and you can prove it then you have no issue.

Yes that's the dilemma , ideally like to get a digger in and take the lot out , there's fa wood there probably burn the lot,

Thought I heard somewhere that if the diameter at chest height is more than 12inches, then you need permission. (don`t think it mentioned whether you could stand on a cherry picker at 6m high and then check dimension at your chest height)

Maybe get a tame tree surgeon to do a report on the state of them. As said, disease over-rides TPO but you will still have to prove it if they ask questions. A stump and a report will do in my experience. All they want to do is tick their boxes at the end of the day.

There's a lot of that sort of thing going about, most of it nonsense. My dad still thinks any oak tree is protected under law. I have given up trying to convince him otherwise.

About the only good thing about Kirklees council (west Yorkshire) is they have an online map of which trees have TPO's on, good to work round without alerting anyone. ;)

I rang our council about some last year and i described roughly where they were and he just said there were no tpo's anywhere near so cut down what ever we want...

I believe the quarters are calender quarters so you can fell 5 cube on the last day of March and then another 5 the next day but then no more until June 1st. You could ask on Arbtalk as they are a decent bunch and will help usually.

If they are big ones you might have a problem as someone will surely grass on you. A neighbour knocked down some big ash trees last year and he's in a world of pain with it. We reckon it was one of his tenants who blew the whistle on him! Hello everyone, I have a large magnolia tree in my front yard that I would like removed. The tree is beautiful but is a challenge to maintain. Aside from being close to the front of our home (about 8 feet), the branches constantly brush against our roof. In addition, it drops tons of leaves all year around which need to be picked up by hand because the tree is surrounded by pine bark nugget mulch so it can't be raked. Lastly, the tree overshadows a large part of my flower bed which often kills plants that are planted. Per my HOA, i was advised that I would need a permit to remove the tree. I guess my question is, if I submit a request to Hillsborough county to remove the tree service durham nc, would it be approved based on the grounds listed above? This is all new to me so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Another case of jfdi.whats the worse that can happen.you will get a fine.if the tree is brushing against your home it’s a definite that the roots will be around the footings and will cause issues.

Unless it has a TPO on I think general homeowners can do what they like without any repercussions!
