Looking to remove a few more trees, this time there's 6 in field ones , 4 lime trees an ash tree and a hawthorn bush .
No tickets on them so hoping to get a 360 in and take them out , do I need any permissions or crack on ?

I believe the quarters are calender quarters so you can fell 5 cube on the last day of March and then another 5 the next day but then no more until June 1st. You could ask on Arbtalk as they are a decent bunch and will help usually.

If they are big ones you might have a problem as someone will surely grass on you. A neighbour knocked down some big ash trees last year and he's in a world of pain with it. We reckon it was one of his tenants who blew the whistle on him!

That's what I was thinking , there's some right toe rags round here .

It always was 5 cube a quarter for your own use. A cube is 1m x1m x1m so something like an IBC water container full of wood. But that's totally full, not with gaps like with logs.

Could you please explain if this is truly justified , you don't need to explain your self to me but I would not be doing my duty if I did not try to save a life , my niebor cut down 200 hedgerow trees one winter to pay his bills , I should have gone over and Lent him the money tk save those trees

Please don't take this the wrong way

The field is called the row of trees :D there's 73 of them in a line, however some geezer decided to make it L shaped by putting 4 at the end, it totally buggers the access to the fields behind, so I want remove these 4 , also they're dying anyway . the little ash tree I could live with .

Case dismissed , but photographic evidence just for the file would be nice

Im in the middle of getting a very big sycamore out (its rotten and in the middle of our yard) u need to know if it has a tpo on it i rang my local tree officer he was very helpfull. If it hasnt like mine but you are in a conservation area as I am 6 weeks notice of intended work has to be submitted to local council. I would check ur local authority website.

Would check if your are in a conservation area, if you are all trees need to have 6 weeks notice as mentioned before. Then check the TPO's if neither of these get on with it.

Otherwise just get on with it :)

do you need to do it all in one go? If they came out over a couple years you are likely to catch anyone's attention. If they are truly diseased and you can prove it then you have no issue.
